"CAMPACITY is an association under the law of 1901, whose purpose is to initiate and carry out actions aimed at strengthening the links between towns and countryside and to organise any action, reflection and collective approach likely to contribute to this.

In 2019, CAMPACITY will sign its first twinning agreement between the 18th arrondissement of Paris [200,000 inhabitants] and Saint Fraimbault [560 inhabitants] in the Orléans bocage.

To launch the dynamics of this first link between the largest arrondissement in Paris and a village in Normandy, CAMPACITY is creating a disruptive event to connect these two towns: 30 people, 15 from Paris and 15 from the Bocage Ornais, will carry out a walking diagnosis. This great conversation will last 8 days, from the 1st to the 9th of October 2022. The departure will be during the Nuit Blanche, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary on the theme of "art and sport".

At each stage following the GR22 and GR36, a theme of reflection will be proposed to the participants: culture, food, housing, trade... Like a brainstorming while walking, the exchanges will aim at giving action tracks for the animation of this 1st twinning.

CAMPACITY was awarded the Coq d'Or de la nouvelle ruralité in April 2022, a sign of recognition of its civic values.

  • Recreate the fundamental links of living together between inhabitants of towns and villages
  • Create or strengthen cooperation in favour of economic, ecological and societal transitions in response to the expectations of consumers and entrepreneurs.
  • To simply share cultural and sporting events to celebrate together and get to know each other better.
  • Weaving links between these two populations in the service of education, the transmission of know-how, knowledge around the issues of food transitions, housing, employment.

Thanks to the principle of twinning, CAMPACITY accompanies the will of elected officials and socio-economic actors of two distinct territories to find concrete actions together in the face of environmental deadlines that will have heavy consequences on the populations of both cities and villages.

In these troubled times, your participation will be fabulous to imagine together a better world!
