Retour sur la Soirée des Pépites, la grande soirée de l'Entrepreneuriat ! / A look back at our Business Startup Evening (Soirée des Pépites)!

Le 24 mai dernier, nous avons le plaisir d'accueillir, au sein du Hub de Bpifrance à Paris, nos 41 candidats au concours des Pépites 2023, durant lequel l'Association Alumni récompense les plus belles réussites entrepreneuriales de l'année. 

Au sein de chaque catégorie, 2 finalistes ont pitché devant un jury composé de 7 personnes, diplômés, lauréats de l'édition précédente et partenaires (Bpifrance et Business Cool). 

Retrouvez ci-dessous la liste des gagnants qui se sont vu attribuer chacun 4000€: 

• Prix Impact Positif : La Tiny Française : une jeune pousse qui construit depuis trois ans des tiny houses avec des matériaux biosourcés. Créateur : Arthur GOULLIART (promo 2021)
• Prix Idée Innovante : Munemjo Entertainment : une startup qui travaille au développement d’un jeu vidéo qui met en avant la culture africaine. Développé par des game designers en Afrique, ce jeu sortira sur nos écrans en 2024. Créateurs : Emerik LINSDEN et Joël KIAMA, issus tous les deux de la promo 2023. 
• Prix Smart Tech : Eco Nadó : une jeune startup qui propose un système d’abonnement pour les articles de puériculture, afin d’éviter aux parents d’acheter des produits neufs onéreux et utilisés sur une courte période, seulement. Créatrice : Mathilde AGULLO (promo 2023)
• Prix Jeune Pépite : Imara Tea : une société qui développe un nouveau thé d’origine africaine avec une chaîne de production locale. L’ambition ? Proposer du thé de haute qualité, très peu travaillé, aussi bien pour des boissons chaudes que pour du thé glacé. Créateur : Eric RUCKLIN (promo 2021).
• Le prix du public a été décerné à Genius Gambler qui sera la première plateforme de pari sportif à proposer une alternative plus équitable et plus divertissante que le modèle existant. Créateur : Gaspard MARCEL (promo 2023)

Le prix du Meilleur Espoir bénéficiera d'un accompagnement par l'incubateur de l'EM Normandie, financé par l'Association Alumni EM Normandie et a été décerné à :  

• Meswo une startup qui propose un sikwa. Il s’agit d’un « bâton » aromatisé qui permet de remplacer brosse à dents et dentifrice. Il est réutilisable pendant six mois. Créateur : Ilyès LAHCENE-TOLBA (promo 2023). 

Le jury a également décerné des mentions spéciales aux projets ci-dessous :

• REASYKL : concept-store en ligne dédié aux vêtements et accessoires de luxe de seconde main. Créatrice: Caroline NOUGUE (promo 2022). La mention spéciale a été attribuée pour souligner le développement de l’activité depuis les Pépites 2022.
• Merci pour les fleurs : compagnie qui a pour but de développer et d'héberger des projets artistiques. Cette compagnie c'est l'histoire d'une rencontre entre 8 comédiens avec une envie commune : créer et jouer. Créateur : Thomas de FOUCHECOUR (promo 2020).La mention spéciale a été attribuée afin d’encourager un projet culturel original. 
• Naïa : application permettant de gérer les cadeaux de ses proches intégrant un algorithme prenant en compte les cadeaux déjà offerts, le budget à allouer, le temps restant avant l'évènement, les préférences de la personne et les produits des magasins partenaires. Créateur : Jannaï KALLA (promo 2020). La mention spéciale a été attribuée pour la qualité de la vidéo de présentation du projet.

On 24 May, we were delighted to host 41 entrants for the 2023 Business Startup Evening at the Bpifrance Hub in Paris, where the Alumni Association rewards the best entrepreneurial achievements of the year. 

For each category, two finalists pitched to a panel of seven graduates, previous winners and partners (Bpifrance and Business Cool). 

The list of winners, who were each awarded €4,000, includes: 

• Positive Impact Award: La Tiny Française: a young company that has been building tiny houses with bio-sourced materials for the past three years. Founder: Arthur Goulliart (class of 2021)
• Innovative Idea Award: Munemjo Entertainment: a startup currently developing a video game which highlights African culture. The game, which is being developed by designers in Africa, will be released on our screens in 2024. Founders: Emerik Linsden and Joël Kiama, both from the class of 2023. 
• Smart Tech Award: Eco Nadó: a young startup which offers a subscription service for childcare items, so that parents don’t have to buy expensive new products that are only used for a short period of time. Founder: Mathilde Agullo (class of 2023)
• Young Star Award: Imara Tea: a company that is developing a new tea of African origin with a local production chain. The aim is to produce high quality, minimally processed tea, for both hot drinks and iced tea. Founder: Eric Rucklin (class of 2021).

• The Public Prize was awarded to Genius Gambler, which will be the first sports betting platform to offer a fairer and more entertaining alternative to the existing model. Founder: Gaspard Marcel (class of 2023).

The Best Hope Award includes support from the EM Normandie incubator, funded by the EM Normandie Alumni Association, and has been awarded to:  

• Meswo a startup that makes sikwas. These are flavoured “sticks” that can be used instead of a toothbrush and toothpaste, and last for six months. Founder: Ilyès Lahcene-Tolba (class of 2023). 

The panel also awarded special mentions to the following projects:

• REASYKL, the online dedicated concept store for second-hand clothes and accessories. Founder: Caroline Nougue (class of 2022). The special mention was awarded to highlight the development of the business since the 2022 event.
• Merci pour les fleurs (Thank you for flowers): a company that aims to develop and host artistic projects. The company is the story of an encounter between eight actors with a shared desire for creativity and fun. Founder: Thomas de Fouchecour (class of 2020). The special mention was awarded in order to encourage an original cultural project.
• Naïa: application for managing gifts from loved ones. It incorporates an algorithm that tracks the gifts already bought, the allocated budget, the time remaining before the event, the person's preferences and products from partner stores. Founder: Jannaï Kalla (class of 2020). The special mention was awarded for the quality of the project presentation video.
