Appel aux diplômés : devenez mentors ! / Call for graduates : become a mentor !

Depuis plusieurs années, l'Association Alumni EM Normandie propose à ses membres à vie en dernière année de cursus à l'Ecole, de participer au programme de mentoring et chaque année ils sont de plus en plus nombreux!

Le mentoring est basé sur le volontariat et représente une démarche d’entraide au sein de la communauté.

Il permet le partage d’expériences et de conseils sur des sujets pour lequel le mentor est expérimenté. Il aidera le mentee dans le développement de son projet professionnel. L’objectif n’est pas de lui trouver concrètement un stage ou un emploi, mais de l’aider dans son approche.

Le mentoring s’étend sur une période de 6 mois entre janvier et juin ou plus si nécessaire (sur décision commune du mentor et du mentee).

Quel est le rôle d'un mentor ?

Dans la mythologie grecque, Mentor est le précepteur de Télémaque et l'ami d'Ulysse. Par assimilation, un mentor est un conseiller expérimenté, attentif et sage auquel on fait entièrement confiance.

Il ne faut pas confondre « mentorat » et « coaching » qui sont deux concepts différents.

Prendre un mentor, c’est donc entreprendre une démarche collaborative, reposant sur l’échange et la transmission, pour passer à la vitesse supérieure et donner de l’ampleur à son projet. 

Comment devenir mentor ?

Pour devenir mentor, il faut vous connecter à votre espace Alumni, cliquer sur la flèche rouge en haut à droite à côté de votre prénom et cliquer sur "VOIR MON PROFIL". 

Vous aurez automatiquement un encart "MENTORING" qui s'affichera dans votre profil.

Vous devrez remplir un court questionnaire à choix multiples, choisir si vous souhaitez accompagner 1 ou 2 étudiants, et vous serez ensuite inscrit dans la liste des mentors.

A partir de janvier, les étudiants pourront se connecter sur leur profil Alumni et choisiront directement leur mentor en fonction de leurs besoins.

C'est à eux, une fois le matching fait, d'être proactifs et d'initier le premier contact.

Planning :

• Mardi 2 novembre 2021 : ouverture de la plateforme aux mentors pour inscription
• Lundi 3 janvier 2022 : ouverture de la plateforme aux étudiants pour inscription et choix du mentor
• Mardi 11 janvier 2022 : webinar de lancement à 18h30. Obligatoire pour les étudiants
• Lundi 14 mars 2022 : bilan à mi-parcours du mentoring
• Lundi 13 juin 2022 : bilan du mentoring

For several years, the EM Normandie Alumni Association has offered its subcriber members in the last year of their studies at the School to participate in the mentoring program.

Mentoring is voluntary and represents a mutual aid approach within the community.

It allows the sharing of experiences and advice on topics for which the mentor is experienced. It will help the mentee in the development of its professional project. The objective is not to concretely find them an internship or a job, but to help them in their approach.

Mentoring extends over a period of 6 months between January and June, or more if necessary (by joint decision of the mentor and the mentee).

What is the role of a mentor ?

In Greek mythology, Mentor is the tutor of Telemachus and the friend of Odysseus. By assimilation, a mentor is an experienced, caring and wise counsellor who is fully trusted.

“Mentoring” should not be confused with “coaching”, which are two different concepts.

Taking on a mentor is therefore taking a collaborative approach, based on exchange and transmission, to move up a gear and expand your project. 

How do I become a mentor ?

To become a mentor, you must log in to your Alumni space, click on the red arrow at the top right next to your first name and click on "SEE MY PROFILE". 

You will automatically have a "MENTORING" insert that will appear in your profile.

You will have to complete a short multiple choice questionnaire, choose whether you wish to support 1 or 2 students, and you will then be placed on the list of mentors.

Beginning in January, students will be able to connect to their Alumni profile and directly choose their mentor according to their needs.

It is up to them, once the matching has been done, to be proactive and initiate the first contact.

Schedule:

• Tuesday, November 2, 2021: opening of the platform to mentors for registration
• Monday, January 3, 2022: opening of the platform to students for registration and choice of mentor
• Tuesday, January 11, 2022: launch webinar at 6:30 p.m. Mandatory for students
• Monday, March 14, 2022: mid-term review of mentoring
• Monday, June 13, 2022: review of mentoring
