As the new school year gets underway, the Foundation wishes you all a successful start to the new year, full of personal fulfillment and shared moments. May this school year be rich in learning and discovery.

To accompany this wonderful start to the new school year, the Foundation is delighted to present the story of Neema Gravier, a future graduate of the Grande Ecole program at EM Normandie and a former Foundation scholarship student.

AN AMBITIOUS COURSE

Neema was born in Le Havre to a mother from Mauritania and a father from Normandy. From an early age, she showed great ambition and a commitment to equal opportunities. After graduating with honors in Mayotte, she returned to Normandy to study biology. Passionate about education and helping others, she became involved in an association in 2014 to support new baccalaureate holders from Mayotte who had come to pursue their studies in mainland France.

NEW CHALLENGES

Her academic career took a new turn when she reoriented herself towards the field of communications and web marketing. She obtained a Bachelor's degree and passed the Passerelle 2 exam to enter EM Normandie. However, access to finance proved difficult and initially impossible for Neema, whose guarantor lives in Mayotte . Today, she is ready to take on new challenges, to continue to act on behalf of her family and to give back with gratitude.

THE EM NORMANDIE FOUNDATION: A SPRINGBOARD TO SUCCESS

Thanks to the support of Maryline Ragot, EM Normandie's social worker, the EM Normandie Foundation's"deserving student" scholarship, and the Article 1 and F.A.M.M. associations to which she belongs, Neema was able to pursue her studies, including an expatriate posting to Portugal during her Master's degree. In addition to financial support, Neema benefited from invaluable mentoring through the Article 1 association with Safran's CSR manager. A future graduate of EM Normandie's Grande Ecole program in 2024, Neema is currently a work-study student at Sanofi, where she is in charge of CSR missions in line with her values. She is actively involved within the company and with the community of 2,200 young interns and work-study students.

A MESSAGE OF HOPE

Neema's story is a real example of the impact the EM Normandie Foundation can have on students' lives. Today, full of gratitude for the help she has received, Neema continues to encourage young people at every opportunity: "Believe in your dreams, believe in your path, defend it with your guts, only you can do it. It's difficult, but you're legitimate. "
