In July, Emeric Couasnon (class of 2016) and a friend took on the challenge of cycling around Normandy in eight days, covering a total of 1050 km!

Aiming for an average of 103 km per day, they started their journey in Vernon, then passed through Rouen, Deauville, Caen, Carentan, Cherbourg (180-km loop), Mont-Saint-Michel (115-km loop), Alençon and Mortagne-au-Perche, finishing in Rémalard on day eight.

Using the three European cycle routes which pass through Normandy allowed them to fully explore each area, including places of interest such as the Château Gaillard, Honfleur, Courseulles-sur-Mer, the military cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer, Jumièges Abbey, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, La Cité de la Mer, the "Roches de Ham", Mont-Saint-Michel, Roc au Chien - Bagnoles de l'Orne and many others.

Check out photos of their trip on the EM Normandie Alumni Instagram page.
