Sulitest, the global movement embedding the culture of sustainability in higher education, celebrates the first anniversary of its flagship assessment tool, TASK™ - The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge. TASK™ provides higher education institutions with a robust, reliable and standardized assessment tool for measuring sustainability knowledge.

Over the past 1 year, TASK™ has been implemented in more than 50 schools and universities in 11 countries (France, Canada, Egypt, Iraq, India, South Africa, Germany, the UK, Taiwan and the Netherlands), including 35 institutions in the Change Leader program. TASK™ enables these institutions toidentify disparities in results between different cohorts of students, and areas for improvement, in order to improve their performance.improvement, so they can improve their sustainability teaching and better prepare their students to become agents of change.

To date, 12,120 people have passed TASK™, and many new sessions are planned.

" TASK represents an opportunity to assess the knowledge of both students and the EM Normandie community (employees, graduates), on the economic and social challenges of climate change. In this way, we can identify areas for improvement, adjust our course content, give our community the opportunity to deepen their learning, and enhance their score in their professional endeavors."explains Sébastien BOURDIN, Professor of Economic Geography and leader of the TASK™ deployment at EM Normandie.

TASK™ has forged major partnerships with ranking, assessment and accreditation agencies and higher education networks (such as AASHE, QS, PRME and IAE), etablishing external recognition of TASK™ as an innovative and reliable assessment instrument providing robust and standardized assessment data.

On April 3, 2024, a large number of Change Leaders from French-speaking business and engineering schools and universities gathered on the EM Normandie campus in Paris to take stock of one year's deployment and look ahead to future developments.

On the agenda: a recap of the road we've travelled together, the key figures for the past year, a presentation of the new features to come, and a collaborative workshop on the theme of "the ideal training course in 2030".

This interactive brainstorming session focused on identifying obstacles to curriculum transformation in higher education, possible solutions and further potential barriers to implementation.

Since its launch, TASK™ has been continuously improving to best meet the needs of higher education institutions and maximize its impact. Several functionalities have thus enriched the tool during this 1st year, such as SSO (Single Sign On) facilitating the registration of applicants with their student identifiers, or APIs enabling TASK™ data to be repatriated into each institution's own information systems.

Lastly, the new dashboards currently being rolled out will encourage the use of data to steer the transformation of establishments towards sustainability, and to measure and demonstrate their impact.

Sulitest and its partners call on all higher education institutions to join the collective effort to foster a culture of sustainability among their students and stakeholders.
